At Korea Blockchain Week 2026, Beldex announced the Beldex Grants Program, a $1 million initiative to support developers, startups, and teams building privacy-focused applications, tools, and infrastructure on the Beldex network. The program is open to developers worldwide.
Beldex has developed much of its privacy ecosystem internally, including BChat, BelNet, Beldex Name Service (BNS), Beldex Wallet, and Beldex Browser. The Grants Program marks a new phase, opening this foundation to independent developers, startups, and teams looking to build privacy-preserving solutions.
Here is how the program works, who can apply, and what support is available.
Why Beldex Is Launching This Program
Privacy infrastructure has traditionally been developed by a relatively small number of dedicated teams. Beldex believes the privacy applications of the future will not all come from a single organization.
By offering funding, developer tooling, and technical support to independent teams, Beldex aims to encourage a broader ecosystem of privacy-focused applications, integrations, and infrastructure built around its network.
With the introduction of Privacy Tokens, the Beldex Extension Wallet, and the Web3.js SDK on testnet, developers now have new tools to begin building privacy-preserving applications on Beldex. The Grants Program is intended to support this next phase by helping independent teams turn these capabilities into applications and services.
Program at a Glance
- Total grant pool: $1,000,000
- Availability: Open to developers, startups, and teams worldwide
- Format: Ongoing and review-based, with no fixed application windows
- Funding: Flexible, with no fixed grant size or predetermined number of recipients
Each proposal is reviewed individually based on factors including privacy innovation, technical feasibility, ecosystem impact, security standards, milestone clarity, and other relevant criteria determined by Beldex.
Funding is determined based on the project's scope, requirements, and potential contribution to the Beldex ecosystem.
Who Can Apply?
The program is open to developers, startups, and teams anywhere in the world. Projects must meet two core requirements:
Build on Beldex: The project must be built on, or meaningfully utilize, the Beldex network and its infrastructure.
Build with Privacy: Privacy must be a fundamental part of the project's architecture, functionality, or user experience.
Both early-stage ideas and projects already in development are welcome to apply, provided they meet the program's eligibility and evaluation requirements.
What Could You Build?
Beldex has identified several potential development areas, although these are examples rather than an exhaustive list:
- Privacy-focused decentralized applications (dApps)
- Private payment solutions and payment infrastructure
- Privacy Tokens and token-based applications
- Developer tools, SDKs, and infrastructure supporting the Beldex network
- Decentralized, privacy-preserving swap platforms
Projects that do not fit neatly into these categories are also encouraged to apply. The program is designed to support new approaches to building privacy-preserving applications and infrastructure.
Build with Beldex Infrastructure
Developers can build using Beldex's expanding privacy infrastructure and developer tooling.
Privacy Tokens
Issue and manage privacy-preserving tokens on the Beldex network. The Privacy Token Standard is currently available on testnet, allowing developers to begin experimenting with confidential token issuance and transfers.
Beldex Extension Wallet
Create and manage wallets, connect to applications, and interact with Privacy Tokens on testnet through the Beldex Extension Wallet.
Beldex Web3JS SDK
Integrate Beldex network functionality into applications using the Web3.js SDK, enabling developers to build new experiences on top of the network's infrastructure.
Together, these tools provide a foundation for developers to experiment with privacy-preserving assets and applications without having to build their own blockchain infrastructure.
How the Grants Process Works
Each application is evaluated on its own merits. The process consists of four main steps:
1. Apply
Submit your project proposal outlining what you intend to build, how it will utilize the Beldex network, your development plans, and funding requirements.
2. Review
The Beldex team evaluates the proposal based on its eligibility, technical feasibility, privacy innovation, ecosystem impact, security considerations, development milestones, and other relevant criteria.
3. Grant Proposal
For projects selected to move forward, the grant amount, development requirements, milestones, and applicable terms are determined based on the project's scope and needs.
4. Build and Deliver
Once the grant terms are finalized, selected teams can begin development with access to applicable Beldex developer resources and technical support.
Depending on the project's scope, development may follow milestones such as prototype development, testing, and mainnet deployment.
Beyond Funding: Developer and Ecosystem Support
Selected projects may receive support beyond the grant itself, depending on their technical and development requirements. This may include:
- Developer documentation and SDK resources
- Technical guidance for building on Beldex
- Integration support for relevant Beldex infrastructure
- Access to ecosystem resources and ongoing development support
The level and nature of support will depend on the individual project's requirements and the resources available.
How to Apply
Whether you are building a private payment application, a privacy token platform, a developer tool, a decentralized service, or something entirely new, the Beldex Grants Program offers an opportunity to bring your privacy-first idea to life.
The program is open to applications worldwide, with proposals reviewed on an ongoing basis.
